Vitamin D 2026 Plan B
May 7th – May 15th
Carol and I are excited to share some of the best roads and scenic places in AZ, NM, CO, and UT.
This year’s route will include Devil’s Hwy and Millon Dollar Hwy, Monument Valley, Moab and Hwy 12.
You will be doing a ton of scenic twisties.
We had to change plans this year, but I know you will have a wonderful time! You will be in the great
hands of Carol Weltz and Tim Adair. I will not be able to join this year as riding right now is not an option.
However, I will continue to work with Carol and Tim getting all the trip details put together asap.
You will fly in and out of Phoenix, AZ. You need to arrive on May 7th by 9:30am or the day before. We will
be KSU at 11am. Departure on Friday May 15th should be a late evening flight or fly on Saturday. Bikes will
be dropped off at Desert Winds HD in Mesa, AZ Friday May 15th at approximately 5pm. Please look at
American Airlines for flights (aa2697 and aa339) If Plan B changes your need for bike shipping,
PLEASE let Carol know asap!
Expect temperatures to be in the 50s-100s. However, temperatures can be inconsistent so please be
prepared with warm ride gear as well as summer gear with a cooling vest. Rain gear is a necessity!
New to Vitamin D? This is a fun way to get to know HOG members. Participants are meeting in Arizona this
year. You carry everything you bring on your bike – pack light and tight. Hotels, a block list will be provided via
email, be sure to follow the instructions carefully. Gas, food etc. on you. Some Hotels will provide breakfast.
Lone Wolf, HOG, or trip road captains do not charge a fee for the trip. It’s highly recommended that you have
Motorcycle tripping experience and can ride 300 miles or more daily for the extent of the trip. Also be
comfortable riding on freeways at speeds of 75mph or more.
Sign-ups are open now, and email Carol Weltz to sign up. Please sign up early so you will be assured of a
place on the ride. Please include, Name, Address, Cell number, Bike type, single or two up. National HOG
number. Do you have or need a roommate. Will you be shipping or meeting us there. Bike shipping is
limited, as are hotel rooms. You will need a current National HOG membership for yourself and your
passenger. And a current Chapter membership if you are from Spokane. You will want a current National
Parks pass for this trip.
We have a Facebook Group page that will have Event Details for each day of the trip. Information is
currently under constructions – Please be patient. Please note that we are still waiting for contracts from
several hotels and confirmed shipping price, but we anticipate shipping to be about $1200 RT. Again,
please be patient, it will all come together very soon.
